Puget Chamber Winds consists of players of wind instruments (and occasionally other instruments) from Seattle-area community orchestras and bands. We perform chamber music in the tradition of classical-era Harmoniemusik, such as Mozart's wind serenades, and other later compositions for similar instrumentation.
Puget Chamber Winds formed in September 2022, after the founder of the group, Nicholas Kosuk, organized a session to read Mozart’s Gran Partita Serenade with a group of musicians gathered from some of the ensembles he had performed with in the Seattle area.
Puget Chamber Winds musicians participate in a combination of public performances and non-public reading sessions to read through works in the Harmoniemusik and Chamber Winds repertoire.
We look forward to beginning to play the special and wonderful music of the Harmoniemusik/chamber winds tradition for Seattle-area audiences with continuing concerts!
